Kyndel W. Bennett
Kyndel Bennett is the CEO of Cayetano Development, a developer of affordable residential communities throughout the State of Texas. Kyndel is a 30-year veteran of the real estate industry having worked in development, construction, and as a principal in a billion dollar real estate investment fund. He has extensive experience in structuring, syndicating, developing and managing complex real estate projects. He received an MBA with a real estate concentration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and a BA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is actively involved in the Austin Community having served on the Boards of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas (Past Chair), the Colorado River Alliance (Past Chair) and as a Trustee of Trinity Episcopal School (Past Chair). He is also a member of the Texas Business Leadership Council and an Executive Member of the University of Texas Real Estate Finance and Investment Center. Kyndel is married to his wife Laura and has two children Barkley (15) and Johnny (13).
Matthew J. Long
As President of Cayetano Development, Matthew focuses on property acquisition and development across all Texas regions. Prior to Cayetano, Matthew ran a multi-million dollar sales program for Double-Take Software in North and South America. He also founded and subsequently sold a group of retail stores on the east coast. Matthew earned a BBA in International Business and a BA in Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin. He is active in the Austin community, serving on the Board of Directors of HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians), and is also a member of the Travis County Archeological Society. Matthew lives in Austin with his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters.
VP of Development & Marketing
John began his real estate career in Austin while attending the University of Texas before moving to the west coast where he managed a portfolio of office and industrial properties in Southern California. While in California he also founded a drinking water company and subsequently sold his interest in that business after joining Bennett Interests. John focuses on land acquisition and site development in Austin and South Texas. John has been married 20 years, to Jan Mays, and they have 5 children - 4 boys and 1 daughter.
Patrick Thomas Sr.
VP of Construction
Patrick Thomas is the Vice President of Construction for Cayetano Development, bringing over 30 years of industry-related experience to the company. He is a results-oriented professional with presence and integrity. Pat brings comprehensive administration skills and operational experience for both design implementation and the successful completion of projects. Patrick has been married for 36 years, has two sons, two grandchildren and is an avid outdoor enthusiast.
VP of Regional Sales
Mona has been in the real estate business for over 15 years. She graduated from South Texas Vo-Tech in 1998 and immediately joined the Bennett Interests team. Working her way up from receptionist to Vice President, Mona is extremely familiar with the residential lot sales and note origination and collection business. She oversees all staff, sales and customer relations on a day-to-day basis. Mona is also a licensed mortgage loan originator by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
After graduating from the University of Texas Pan American in 2006 with a BBA in Finance, Yandy worked for a public accounting firm, Hidalgo County Auditor where she gained extensive professional knowledge in accounting and auditing. Before joining Cayetano Development in 2013, Yandy worked for International Paper, a publicly traded packaging and paper manufacturer. Yandy's meticulous work ethic is essential for preparing and reviewing Cayetano's financial statements, as well as reporting Cayetano's monthly and quarterly financial and investor reports. She also assists with the preparation of year-end returns and external audits. Yandy and her husband, Humberto, have one daughter, Ivanna.
Claudia I. Guajardo
Claudia earned a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas Pan American in 2008. She worked in El Valle Loans as CSR/Office Manager where she gained experience in lending. She reviewed applications and credit reports, pre-approved and closed customer loans, balanced the cash register and organized daily office operations and procedures. She joined Cayetano Development as part of the accounting department in 2016. Since joining the company, she has been working closely with the VP of Accounting. She assists in the preparation of daily reports, reconciles bank statements, accounts receivable and payable. Claudia and her husband, Demetrio, have a son named Leonardo.
Director of Servicing / Office Manager
Suelema has been in the real estate business for over 10 years. She graduated from South Texas Vo-Tech in 1987 and joined the Cayetano Development, LLC team in 2007. Started working as a receptionist & work her way up to Director of Servicing/Office Manager. Suelema knows the residential lot sales, note origination and collection business. She oversees all staff and customer relations on a day to day basis. Suelema lives in the Rio Grande Valley with her two children Alex & Celinda.
VP of Development
Clint focuses on land acquisition and development in Central Texas. Previously he was with Lynd Development Partners, where his responsibilities included acquisitions, asset management, dispositions and capital markets activities for multifamily developments in Texas and Colorado. Prior to that, he worked as a Finance Manager for The Corky McMillin Companies, a subdivision developer and home builder. Clint began his real estate career as an analyst for John Hancock Life Insurance Co, where he was involved in the financing of commercial and residential properties throughout the Southwestern U.S. He received a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Texas Tech University. Clint and his wife, Lana, have three children, Madelyn, Charlie and Kate.
Office Manager / Executive Assistant
Tracy Mancinelli is the Austin Office Manager / Executive Assistant at Cayetano Development, LLC. She specializes in organizing office procedures while providing administrative assistance to ensure daily operations run smoothly. Tracy is an administrator with over 20 years’ managerial and administrative experience. She comes to us with a background in politics serving as a Legislative Aide in the House of Representatives, and has worked on several campaigns.
Director of Marketing and Inside Sales
Janie has been in the real estate business for over 12 years. She graduated from South Texas Vo-Tech in 1998 and joined our Cayetano Development, LLC team in 2005. Working her way up from receptionist to Assistant General Manager and now Director of Marketing and Inside Sales. Janie is also a licensed mortgage loan originator by the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). She is married to Pedro Contreras, has two children, Jaime Luna Jr and Jayda Luna.
Priscilla began her Criminal Justice career while attending South Texas College in Weslaco, Texas before joining the Cayetano team. She joined the team in 2013 starting as a receptionist and throughout the years moved up to different departments gaining lots of hands-on experience. Priscilla was recently promoted to Sales Associate, where she assists new clients from all across Texas through the entire lot purchasing process. Starting from their very first call or message asking for information, qualifying them, answering any questions they might have, and assisting them all the way until the closing of the contract. Her goal is easing the customers’ experience and giving them the peace of mind to make the right choice regarding their investment.
Loan Servicing Specialist
Selina Gonzalez graduated from Donna High School. After graduating she started working in retail as a sales associate, where she gained 2 years’ experience in customer service. Since her hire, back in 2016, she has taken the time to learn most things in the office, starting as a Receptionist, to being in charge of checking our restrictions and now keeping track of the taxes. Selina is married to Juan Gonzalez and has three children Kassandra, Juan and Jerry.
Cristina E. Flores
Cristina started working at Cayetano in 2016, performing various office management tasks and is now part of the sales team. She meets and exceeds sales goals meanwhile acting as the company’s spokesperson on multiple published videos that share information about the company in both English and Spanish. As Sales Associate she assists new clients from all across Texas through the entire lot purchasing process. Starting from their very first call or message asking for information, qualifying them, answering any questions they might have, and assisting them all the way until the closing of the contract. Her goal is easing the customers’ experience and giving them the peace of mind to make the right choice regarding their investment.
Loan Servicing Specialist
Emma graduated from South Texas Vo-Tech where she achieved her certificate in accounting and bookkeeping by trade in 1983. She joined our Cayetano Development, LLC team in 2016 obtaining a position as an office clerk working her way up into the Collection Department. Her duties pertain to assisting, preparing, and filing documents as they become needed. Also oversees all delinquencies and collection calls. She is a native of South Texas and has 1 son, 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
Gladys L. Trevino
Gladys joined the team in 2015, bringing over fifteen years of customer service experience to Cayetano Development, has recently been promoted to the Sales Department. As Sales Associate she assists new clients from all across Texas through the entire lot purchasing process. Starting from their very first call or message asking for information, qualifying them, answering any questions they might have, and assisting them all the way until the closing of the contract. Lead Sales Rep
Adela focuses on residential lot sales and marketing efforts for Cayetano’s communities in Central and South Texas. Adela provides excellent, bilingual customer service for new and existing lot owners. She brings over fifteen years of sales and customer service experience to Cayetano, most recently as the Lead Sales Rep.
Ashley Gonzalez Muniz
Loan Servicing Specialist
Ashley graduated from Mercedes High School and worked in retail for 3 years before joining Cayetano Development. She is currently pursuing an Associate degree on Elementary Teaching at South Texas College in Weslaco. Ashley is in charge of delinquent accounts, following the legal process of accelerating notes, and preforming note foreclosures as trustee for Hidalgo and Starr counties. She lives in the Rio Grande Valley with her son, Aiden.

Oriana graduated from Weslaco East High School in 2015. She attended South Texas College as a part-time student perusing a major in Business. Worked in retail as a Sales Associate, gaining 4 years of customer service experience. She started working at Cayetano Development in 2018, Performing various office management tasks and monitoring subdivisions for restrictions compliance.
Loan Servicing Specialist
Wendy graduated from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest High School. She attends South Texas College in Weslaco, Texas, where she is pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing. Wendy lives in Donna, Texas with her mom, two brothers and her sister. She started working at Cayetano Development as receptionist.
Laura became interested in Accounting at the age of 19 where she was first introduced to it while attending the University of Texas A & M Kingsville. She pursued this interest for two years at a small firm before joining the Cayetano Team as an Accounting Assistant in September 2017. She assists in daily cash reconciliations and bank deposits. Laura’s responsibilities include preparation of outgoing checks for accounts payable as well as helping out as needed by her supervisor.
Veronica began her real estate career in 2016 as a licensed real estate agent with Keller Williams. Prior to that she was an office manager with a home health company. While her husband was serving in the Army she earned her Medical Assistant license with the National Health Association in 2006. Veronica has 12 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She is married to her husband Lee and has 3 kids.
Brenda attended Presbyterian Pan American School, and Texas A & M- Kingsville where she graduated in May 2012 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. Her last position before joining Cayetano in November 2017 was as Physical Inventory Specialist for Sunoco (Stripes) in the Houston area. She traveled within the Houston area and sometimes visited other states, including, Virginia and Indiana, as needed by the company. She if fully Bilingual. She got married in November of 2017. Has a dog named Coco Corral.
